If you play guitar you know it’s all about tone, and there is no way of achieving this without that feel good smell of hot wax and bakelite – we are talking valves. And I don’t mean a solid state or modelling amp with a valve somewhere in there adding that so-called mystic “warmth”.

No, we are talking vintage. We have all heard people talk of this holy grail of tone but few have ever been there, often put off by the huge prices that can be paid for these beasts.

Well, you may have the very thing laying neglected or forgotten at the back of your, or your dad’s garage or shed. If this is the case, bring it along to the “Music Room Classic Workshop”, and we’ll put the bark back into your wheezing amp.

Some brands are better than others but most are capable of a playability unavailable in a modern amp. We love Valves……….
